Outfit Ideas For Valentine's Day

February 14th is just around the corner and although not all of us celebrate it there are a lot of you who are going crazy thinking that you have nothing to wear because we are like that, we could have a closet full of clothes and yet won't have anything to put on. That's the moment that we convince ourselves that only solution is to go shopping and whether it is a lot of fun the majority of us aren't millionaires. So that is why I thought about doing this post and give you various options for you to get inspired and wear what you already have not only this Saturday but on any other date or especial occasion.

ES: El día de San Valentín se acerca y si bien no todas lo pasaremos acompañadas hay muchas que ya se estarán preguntando ¿qué me pongo? Y claro, seguramente la respuesta es "no tengo nada" porque las mujeres somos así, podemos tener un placard lleno de ropa que nunca, NUNCA, vamos a tener qué ponernos y es ahí cuando nos convencemos que la única solución es salir de compras. Por eso pensé en hacer este post y darles varias ideas para que así, con lo que tengan y un poco de inspiración, puedan armar conjuntos increíbles que no solo sirven para el día de los enamorados sino también para cualquier otra cita u ocasión especial.

Some of my ideas are:

* To wear a ladylike floral dress and heels.

* Combine a skirt with a sweater or and XL one with a shirt underneath, red lips and a ponytail if you happen to be in winter.

* Risk yourself and dress all in red, the colour of passion that's so characteristic of the day.

* For the ones who prefer a not-so-feminine-outfit, like me, the pants options are unlimited: we can wear them with a bright top and a pair of jeans, straight trousers, a nice top and a blazer for an after office dinner or a total black with a statement coat.

* Now if your date is during the day a printed dress with sneakers is a great casual outfit.

* And do not forget about the classic LBD and jumpsuits that have saved us more than once.

Another option to consider is this one brought by yours truly. I have never been too girly so it is very rare to see me wearing skirts or dresses, in fact, the first three dots aren't much for me. That's why I picked up a pair of high waisted shorts, a basic white shirt, black stilettos and added a more womanly touch with the bag and by overlaying two necklaces in the shades of blue and silver.

* Usar un vestido ladylike con estampa floral y tacos

* Combinar una falda con un sweater o uno XL con una camisa debajo, labios rojos y cabello atado para pasarlo en invierno.

* Animarnos a vestirnos toda de rojo, el color de la pasión característico de la fecha.

* Para las que como yo prefieren un look no tan femenino las combinaciones con pantalones son infinitas: podemos llevar unos de corte recto a la cintura con un top y un blazer para ir a cenar luego de la oficina, un top que llame la atención y jeans o un total black con un abrigo o chaqueta que destaque.

* Si tu cita es en el día un vestido estampado y zapatillas es ideal para algo casual.

* Y no nos olvidemos del clásico vestidito negro o los tan aclamados monos que nos han salvado más de una vez.

Personalmente les confieso que nunca fui de usar muchas faldas o vestidos, de hecho es muy raro verme con esas prendas, así que se imaginarán que los primeros puntos no son para mí. Por eso les traigo una alternativa que espero que les guste: shorts negros de tiro alto, camisa blanca clásica, stilettos y le dí un toque más girly con la cartera y superponiendo dos collares en tonos plateados y azules.
