London, Milan & Paris Fashion Week Fall 2015

MY PICKS We can now say that the fall/winter 2015 fashion week is officially over and just in case

you have missed it here is a short summary of what we have seen on the catwalks of London, Milan, and Paris.                                              

ES: Oficialmente damos por terminada la semana de la moda otoño-invierno 2015 del Ready-to-wear y en caso de que se la hayan perdido acá les dejo un breve resumen de mis elegidos con lo que se vio en las pasarelas de Londres, Milán y París.

 Louis Vuitton was definitely one of my favourites. Nicholas Guesquière's designs, whose debut was a year ago, were based on fur coats, leather, prints and all kinds of garments with textured stripes; a collection for all tastes.

ES: Louis Vuitton fue definitivamente uno de mis favoritos. Los diseños de Nicholas Guesquière, quien ya cumple un año en la marca, se basaron en abrigos de piel, cuero, estampados y todo tipo de prendas a rayas texturizadas; una colección para todos los gustos.

Topshop Unique, in London, filled the runway with earth tones, nudes and neutrals adding a pop of colour with light blue details and floral prints, creating one of its most sophisticated collections. 

 ES: Topshop Unique, en Londres, llenó la pasarela de tierras, nudes y neutros añadiéndole un toque de color con celestes y estampados florales, creando así una de sus más sofisticadas colecciones. 

This time with Cara Delevingne on the front row, Burberry Prorsum opened the show with the British model Amber Anderson wearing a printed fringed poncho, over-the-knee boots and a tote bag followed by others with dresses and coats covered with patchwork that took us back to the 60s.

ES: Esta vez con Cara Delevingne en primera fila, Burberry Prorsum abrió el desfile con la modelo británica Amber Anderson luciendo un poncho estampado con flecos, botas por arriba de la rodilla y una tote bag seguida de otras con vestidos, trench y tapados con estampas y patchwork con un aire 60s.

Leather ruled at the Hermès fashion show. It was seen in jackets, pants and even in overalls paired up with silk, cotton, and fur. Three extremely seductive textures.                                                ES: El cuero reinó en el show de Hermès donde se vio en chaquetas, pantalones y hasta en enteritos acompañado de seda, algodón y piel. Tres texturas sumamente seductoras.

Valentino amazed us again and this time not only with its A-line skirts, oversized sweaters, fur coats and characteristic dresses but also with the appearance of two famous characters: Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) and Hansel (Owen Wilson) who closed the show. Now the urge of watching  the second film of Zoolander are even greater.                                                   ES: Valentino nos sorprendió nuevamente y esta vez no sólo con faldas de línea recta, sweaters oversized, abrigos de piel y sus vestidos tan característicos estampados con tartan y rayas, sino también con la aparición de dos personajes célebres: Derek Zoolander (Ben Stiller) y Hansel (Owen Wilson) quienes cerraron el show.  Ahora las ansias de ver la segunda parte de Zoolander son aún mayores. 

The vinyl boots that we had seen last season at Christian Dior's fashion show reappeared reaffirming their success, and if we talk about makeup the one seen at Dolce & Gabbana is perfect for any time and occasion.                                                                                                    ES: Las botas de vinilo que habíamos visto en la temporada de primavera/verano de Christian Dior volvieron a aparecer reafirmando su éxito. Y si de maquillaje hablamos el de Dolce & Gabbana es perfecto para cualquier época y ocasión.

 Last but not least, my winners of the front row were Bianca Brandolini at Dolce & Gabbana and Poppy Delevingne at Chanel's Parisian cafe.

ES: Esta vez el front row lo ganaron Bianca Brandolini en el de Dolce & Gabanna y Poppy Delevingne en el café parisino de Chanel.
