How To: French Style

#MURSWAYTIP French women have that je ne sais quoi that we all admire and crave. They always look effortlessly chic and seem to never get old, just look at Vanessa Paradis or Laetitia Casta, they look as gorgeous as they did on their beginnings.

Here are ten tips that will help you achieve that desired french style:
1- Do not overdo: French women don't exaggerate in the amount of make-up, accessories or colours they wear so make sure you keep it chic but simple at the same time.
2- Take care of your skin: The part of our body that shows the time-aging the most is definitely the skin, especially our face, that is why it is very important to start taking care of it from a young age. So if you haven't started yet, this is the time to do it. How? Moisturise it, use SPF, drink a lot of water and never, ever, go to sleep with your makeup on.
3- Back to basics: There are some pieces that are considerate basics and a must have in any woman wardrobe. French girls know that and pairing them up with one of the latest trends is its key to success.
4- Go for a soft makeup: A little blush, natural eyeshadow, mascara and red lips. That's it.
5- Be confident: French people are very comfortable in their own skin and, believe me when I say, there is nothing sexier than that.
6- Leave it unfinished: Even if you have spent hours in front of the mirror getting ready, always leave the house with an effortless look. Whether it's your shirt half-tucked and with some buttons undone or your sleeves rolled up, looking a little bit unpolished is very french.
7-  Borrow from the boys: Add masculine touches to feminine outfits and don't be afraid of wearing oversize pieces.
8-  Simple hairstyle: Wash your hair every other day and avoid looking like you put too much effort styling your hair. In fact, if it is slightly messy, better.
9-  Colour palette: Noir is their best friend, that's true, but it is not the only one. You can wear any colour although try to go for the neutrals and if you like the brighter ones just make sure to wear only one piece at a time.
10-  Fragrance: Always wear perfume. And that is a rule. Choose a scent that identifies you and sprays it two or three times a day.

Hidratándola, usando protector solar, bebiendo mucho agua y nunca, jamás,  ir a dormir maquilladas.
