Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015: Milan & Paris

MY PICKS On October 1st with the Hermés fashion show we said goodbye to the last fashion week of the year keeping with various outstanding collections in mind. Below, I list you my favourites with a little review of each, as always. 

ES: El primero de octubre con el desfile de Hermés nos despedimos de la última fashion week de este año y cerramos el ciclo de Primavera/Verano quedándonos con varias colecciones deslumbrantes en mente. Debajo, les detallo mis preferidas con una pequeña review de cada una como los tengo acostumbrados.

The one that impressed me the most was held in Milan and was designed by Stefania Bandiera, who made a focus on leaves prints and vertical stripes. She also showed bulky pieces such as ballerina dresses and peplum tops. Not bad for being her first collection as creative director of the brand, don't you think?

ES: La que más me impactó de ambas semanas de la moda tuvo lugar en Milán de la mano de la diseñadora Stefania Bandiera, quien hizo foco en las estampas de hojas y rayas verticales. Además, mostró piezas voluminosas como vestidos de tipo ballerina y peplum tops. Nada mal por ser su primera colección como directora creativa de la firma, ¿no les parece?

In the Italian fashion capital, the second place goes to the femininity and subtlety of Alberta Ferretti. Nude dresses with flower appliques and fringes overwhelmed the catwalk with a 70s boho style, followed by some denim pants. Unexpected, right? 

ES: En  la capital de la moda italiana el segundo puesto se lo lleva la feminidad y sutileza de Alberta Ferretti. Con un aire boho de los 70, vestidos de color nude con apliques de flores y flecos invadieron la pasarela, seguidos de tops del mismo estilo combinados con pantalones de jean. Inesperado ¿verdad?

We now head to Paris to talk about the exquisite and impeccable taste of Giambattista Valli who, personally, never ceases to amaze me. For the next summer, he proposes different textures such as fringes, feathers, satin and floral prints combined with several types of lines.

ES: Nos dirigimos ahora a París para hablar sobre el exquisito e impecable gusto de Giambattista Valli que, en lo personal, no deja de sorprenderme. Para el próximo verano propone diferentes texturas como flecos, plumas, satén y estampados florales combinados con distintos tipos de líneas.

Issey Miyake, symbol of textile design, shows us once more the infinite variety of the textures that there are. This time, Yoshiyuki Miyamae decided not only to incorporate the 3D effect but also he choose a fabric with elastic properties, which he used in oversized pieces accentuating the shoulders and torso, with models dressed in plaid from head to toes. I wonder what is he going to surprise us next...

ES: Issey Miyake, símbolo del diseño textil, nos demuestra una vez más la infinita variedad de texturas que existen. Esta vez, Yoshiyuki Miyamae se decidió no solo por incorporar el efecto 3D sino que también eligió una tela con propiedades elásticas, la cual utilizó en prendas oversized acentuando los hombros y el torso, con modelos vestidas con tartan de pies a cabeza. Me pregunto con qué nos sorprenderá la próxima...

The natural of the makeup seen at the Valentino fashion show seemed to me a perfect choice for the high temperatures of the season, while Louise Grinberg was one of my favourites on the front row of Chanel.

ES: La naturalidad del maquillaje visto en el show de Valentino me pareció un perfecto acierto para las altas temperaturas de la temporada, mientras que Louise Grinberg fue una de mis favoritas en el front row de Chanel.
