How To Achieve The Perfect At-Home Manicure

Going to the salon and get your nails done once a week is every woman's dream, but let's face it, we don't always have the time or money to do so. That is why I thought about sharing with you all the tips and tricks to achieve the perfect at-home manicure step by step.

ES: Ir al salón de belleza para arreglarnos las uñas cada semana es el sueño de toda mujer, pero seamos realistas, no siempre disponemos del tiempo o el dinero para hacerlo. Es por eso que pensé en compartir con ustedes algunos tips para lograr paso a paso una manicura perfecta hecha en casa.

1. First of all, if you have nail polish on, wash your hands with warm water and remove it.
2. File your nails and shape them the way you like: round, square or somewhere in-between. Then, polish them with a file buffer block for a smoother and unified appearance.
3. Put some moisturising hand cream all over your nails in one hand and soak it in a bowl with warm water for a couple of minutes.
4. After softening the cuticles, it's time to push them back with a cuticle stick.
(Repeat 3 & 4 on the other hand)

5. Exfoliate your hands with a scrub, wash gently and dry thoroughly.
6. Choose your favourite cream and treat yourself to a hand massage.
7. Apply a base coat to hydrate and protect your nails.
8. Once dry, it comes the fun part! Paint your nails with the colour of your preference once or twice and let it dry for a few minutes.

You are almost there, just two steps more!
9. Add an extra shine and protect your nail polished from chipping with a Top Coat.
10. Finally, clean any mistake with a cotton swab and acetone et voilà, you are ready to show off your brand new manicure!

Extra tip: If you want it to make it last more, spray your nails with a nail polish fixer.

1. Primero lo primero, si tienen un esmalte puesto enjuagen sus manos con agua tibia y luego procedan a quitarlo.
2.  Limen sus uñas y denle la forma que deseen, puede ser redondeada, cuadrada o en el medio. Luego, pueden pulirlas con una lima buffer block para alisarlas y unificarlas.
3. Apliquen un poco de crema hidratante sobre las uñas de una mano y colóquenlas en un recipiente con agua tibia por un par de minutos.
4. Luego de ablandar las cutículas es tiempo de empujarlas hacia atrás con un quitacutículas.
(Repitan los pasos 3 y 4 en la otra mano)

5. Utilicen un exfoliante en todas sus manos, enjuaguen con abundante agua y séquenlas bien.
6.  Escojan su crema preferida y den a sus manos un buen y merecido masaje.
7. Ahora que ya están relajadas es el momento de aplicar un esmalte base para hidratar y proteger.
8.  Una vez secas ¡viene la parte divertida! Pinten sus uñas con el esmalte de su preferencia y decórenlas como más les gusten. Si es necesario aplicar más de una capa, háganlo y déjenlas secar.

Ya casi terminan, sólo faltan dos pasos:
9. Añadan un brillo extra y eviten que se resquebrajen con un Top Coat.
10. Finalmente, limpien los bordes desprolijos y cualquier otro error con un cotonete embebido en acetona et voilà ya están listas para lucir su nueva manicura!

Tip extra: Si quieres que tu manicure dure más, rocía las uñas con un spray fijador de esmalte.
